Mr. And Mrs. Fesette

David and Patty (Kalajian) Fesette of Concord recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married May 5, 1962, in Concord.

The couple has two children, Karrie Fesette of Concord and the late Mark Fesette. The couple has one granddaughter, Olivia Harding of Concord.

At their request, a party wasn't held. To guarantee that there wasn't a party, they left town and went to Las Vegas. Upon their return, they spent a special, low-key day with their daughter and granddaughter at the Isles of Shoals in Portsmouth.

Mr. Fesette was a marketing representative before retirement.

Mrs. Fesette was an office manager in the classification section at the State Division of Personnel.

In their retirement, the Fesettes have enjoyed traveling the world. In addition to many North American cities, they have traveled to England, France, Russia, Scandinavia, Germany, the Netherlands, Estonia, Italy, Spain and Croatia, among others.

The bride, daughter of Sheila and Art Swenson of Loudon, earned a degree in communication from the University of Denver in 2006. She is a manager at The Barley House in Concord.

The groom, son of Raili Cohen of Bernardston, Mass., and Arthur Cohen of Gill, Mass., earned degrees in English and philosophy from Boston University in 1996 and graduated from Washington University School of Law in 1999. He is a partner at Cohen & Winters in Concord.

Adriana Vera-Heath and Joshua Holgate were married June 30 at Leavitt Beach in Meredith. Kerri Parker, justice of the peace, performed the double-ring ceremony.

Jauna Blackstone of Newport News, Va., was maid of honor. Heather Waterman of Belmont, sister of the bride, and Shawna Bentley of Canterbury were bridesmaids.

Bill Cullen was best man. Scott Holgate, brother of the groom, and Sean Holgate, father of the groom, were groomsmen.

The bride, daughter of Dona Jean Heath of Belmont, graduated from the University of Vermont in 2008. She works at the Tilton Walmart.

The groom, son of Debbie and Paul Blake of Gilmanton and Sean and Brenda Holgate of Laconia, works at the Tilton Walmart.

The couple took a wedding trip to the White Mountains and Boston and lives in Laconia.

Pepin, daughter of Lorraine Ryan of Bow and the late John Pepin, earned a bachelor's degree from Keene State College and a master of physical and health education degree from Plymouth State University. She teaches sixth- through eighth-grade health and physical education in Needham, Mass.

Dunton, son of Christine and Robert Dunton of Rochester, N.Y., earned a bachelor's degree and master of business administration degree from Clarkson University. He is a supply chain operations manager for Frito Lay in Randolph, Mass.

An Aug. 10 wedding is planned.

Desmond, son of Lauren and Edward Desmond of Hillsboro, graduated from John Stark Regional High School. He is a diesel mechanic at Venture Construction.

A June 8 wedding is planned.

Judd, daughter of Ron Judd and Lynda Morin of Franklin, is a licensed nursing assistant and a stay-at-home mom.

DeFosses, son of Philip and Linda DeFosses of Franklin, is a direct care counselor at NFI North in Concord. He is enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University, where he is working toward a bachelor's degree in psychology with a concentration in mental health.

A July 28 wedding is planned.

Charles and Bettie (Bresaw) Martel of Allenstown recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married June 21, 1952, at the First Congregational Church in Concord.

The couple has three children, Valerie Elliott and husband, David, of Concord; Vanessa Plourde and husband, Wayne, of Concord; and Virene Nelson and husband, Rick, of Hooksett. They have seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, with their 13th due in next month.

The couple celebrated with their daughters and their husbands at the Mt. View Grand Resort in Whitefield.

Mr. and Mrs. Martel owned and operated Martel's Self Care Products Inc. before retirement.

They have also enjoyed sharing five generations with both of their mothers, Dora Bresaw of Port Charlotte, Fla., currently visiting for the summer, and Irene Martel of Boscawen.

The groom, son of Susan and Jerome Madden, earned a bachelor's degree from Bates College and a juris doctor degree from American University, Washington College of Law. He is an attorney at Bingham McCutchen LLP.

The couple took a wedding trip to Italy and lives in Boston.

John and Ann (Harmon) Davenport of Concord recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married July 20, 1962, in Portland, Maine.

The couple has three children, Cindy King of Derry, John Davenport of Boscawen and Scott Davenport of Portsmouth. The couple has eight grandchildren.

They celebrated with a dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse hosted by their three children. Their grandchildren and a few close friends also attended.

Mr. Davenport was a Ross Express driver before retirement.

Mrs. Davenport worked in patient accounts at Concord Hospital before retirement.
